Two-day Offshore Medical Course customised to provide students with the basics required for Offshore Cruising. Course also covers a handover of the Offshore Medical Kit (CAT 1) and how to use it.

When: 11 - 12 February 2022

Location: Oceania Medical, Unit 5, 23B westhaven Drive, Auckland

Time: 8:30am - 4:30pm

Parking: TBC

Notes: Wear comfortable clothing for practical sessions. Tea & Coffee will be provided. There will be eateries nearby or you are welcome to bring a packed lunch.

  • Primary Survey
  • Recovery Position
  • Body Structure & Functions
  • The Unconcious Casualty
  • CPR & Basic Life Support
  • AED Use
  • Bleeding, Tourniquet use, israeli bandage use & CELOX
  • Management of Shock, Anaphylactic shock, hypoglycemic shock
  • Burns & Scalds
  • Transporting a casualty
  • Wound Care
  • Offshore Medical Kit (CAT 1) familiarisation session

**For a course to run there has to be a minimum of 6ppl attending.

*100% refund up to 4 weeks prior to the course date. 75% refund within 4 weeks of the course date. If you book and the course date doesn't suit you later on, can be interchanged for another course.

Cost: NZD$325.00 for non-members or NZD$295.00 for Island Cruising members
