Yachts Welcome to Dive Academy Fiji & Viani Bay Resort

Since we began building in Viani Bay in 2017, visiting yachts have been part of our extended community. Whether you anchor for a night or stay for a few weeks, come ashore and experience the special vibe of the bay. Over the years, we’ve developed services tailored to cruising life — including diving and meal discounts for rally participants.

Dive Academy Fiji is a 5-Star PADI Eco Resort and the only PADI Freediving Center on the Rainbow Reef. We offer courses from Discover Scuba and PADI Freediving. Fair warning: learning to dive on the Rainbow Reef may permanently raise your standards.

With dive sites only 5–15 minutes away, we return to shore after every dive. You can book single tanks, fit dives around boat projects, or relax at the resort with fruit, cake, and tea during surface intervals. The Rainbow Reef offers around 30 sites, each dependent on tides and conditions — and our flexible schedule allows us to time locations like the Great White Wall properly, often on days others can’t, sometimes even as a night dive.

Marine conservation and community support are at the heart of what we do. Our coral restoration site and giant clam nursery sit in a protected area within the bay. Cruisers are welcome to join a tour, plant corals, and see firsthand how community-based reef protection works. We also provide scholarships for local dive professionals, support the school and sports teams, and host spay-and-neuter campaigns.

Ashore, meals feature artisanal Fijian cuisine with reef-to-table ingredients and tastings of our handcrafted Fiji Sea Salts. Extended happy hours, weekly potlucks, provisioning and transfer coordination, and a range of activities make it easy to connect — with the reef and with the people.

Viani Bay isn’t a marina stop. It’s a place you become part of.
